Rich reds.

The pocket square is a recoloring in reds of an oil panel painting by Pieter Bruegel the Elder painted c. 1562. called the Triumph of Death. It's a painting representing the Black Death, the Great Plague, the Great Mortality of 1340. An outbreak during the 1340s in Europe, maybe not all that different than the epidemic we all experienced over the last couple years.

I think it can symbolize many things; dark times, survival through suffering, a common affliction/dark experience.

Aside from the symbolism the detail and coloring are simply beautiful. This would go perfectly with a deep red necktie.
